The idea for Maximum Love started in the loveliest of settings. It was at the wedding reception of thee truly beloved Elliot and Andrea Imes (featured on this collection) after much Sweat Power induced dancing to the beats of DJ Eight Ten (Jeffrey Eaton, Modern Life is War) and consumption of various substances (not to be named) that the powers that be (namely, most of the people that ended up playing on this EP) discussed the idea of recording a bunch of love songs together for Valentine’s Day. If Elliot and Andrea’s love could inspire a bunch of folks to write and record songs, then maybe the love communicated on their recordings could inspire…well, who knows? World peace? Lower diabetes rates? Anything is possible. Lean In. Listen. Learn. Love. Eat. Pray. Scratch those last two.

Maximum Love Vol. 1: A Golden Love Affair features 7 tracks by Iowa music couples recorded exclusively for this release.

Here’s how it works:
